Arai Contour X Helmet

The Arai Contour X Helmet is one of Arai’s most versatile helmets, blending track-level engineering with real-world comfort. Its design is rooted in performance, but it’s built for riders who live on the road. Lightweight, well-ventilated, and shaped for long days in the saddle, it’s the kind of helmet that doesn’t slow you down.
So what makes the Arai Contour X stand out? A 5mm flare at the base makes it easy to take on and off. The wide VAS MAX Vision shield comes ready with a Pinlock insert for clear vision in any condition. Inside, a removable brushed nylon liner works with Arai’s Facial Contour System, plus a neck roll pocket that makes Bluetooth setup simple. In short: it’s race-born, road-ready, and built to keep up with riders who never stop.
There’s no denying this helmet has some great features, but one of the main reasons we chose it was for the emergency removal check pads, complete with emergency tags to aid helmet removal, for instance, on the site of a crash. But let’s talk about the cheek pads. If you remove the cover, you find layers of foam and insane contouring that literally hug your cheeks to safety, as well as housing your speakers.
We have alot of respect for Arai’s commitment to safety and non-compromising approach to the outer shell design, and they stepped it up once again with this helmet. The PB e-clc (Peripherally Belted e-Complex Laminate Construction) outlines a stylish, organic shape best suited for an immediate oval head shape, is designed for lightweight strength, and to spread impact forces.
The helmet comes in sizes XS, S, M/L, XL/XXL, and comes with an inner adjustable layer with a 5mm peel-off layer to increase headspace if needed. Just make sure you wear it first. The adjustable, removable liner is odour-resistant and can be cleaned with warm water and soap.
Let’s talk about the ventilation. There are 13 ports in total. The new small vents to the top of the helmet are efficient, letting a decent amount of air flow through, ARAI have changed the logo its a raised piece of plastic with a vent system on this helmet, the main issue with this though is the lever to open and close, its hard to find if you have gloves on and tends to pull the whole helmet up as you try to open it, the best option is to decide whether or not you want it open or closed before you set off.
The chin vent has been redesigned, but even when closed, it has a little bleed, so riders in cooler climates may want to consider this. Hot air is efficiently extracted via the 3-way spoiler on the back.
The Aria Contour X Helmet is complete with a VAS ( variable Axis System) shield & shield latch system, and a pinlock insert is included for anti-fog vision while riding, and the shield has a de-mist position. The helmet is Snell 2025 and DOT rated.
In summary, this is a lighter, cooler helmet with safety and comfort, taken to a new level, ideal for both street and adventure riding alike.
